The 100 Mile Cafe is a great concept driven restaurant featuring lovely food in Melbourne Central, opposite the State Library. You enter the building via the escalators on the corner of Swanston and Latrobe Streets.
Serving food made with ingredients totally sourced from within 100 miles of Melbourne, this is our City's one venue that is 100% SOLE - a feat which is hard for most of us to achieve in our home kitchens - making it a locavore's delight. It's also a fantastic place to discover wonderful local produce for yourself and provides great inspiration to us all.
I met the Chef at the Slow Food Festival and was really impressed by his depth of knowledge and creativity. It's well worth a try.
