Canberra - Mountain Creek Farm

Postby Zoe on Wed Aug 20, 2008 10:13 pm

I have not eaten food from Mountain Creek Farm yet (we've ordered 10 kilos of pork) but if they live up to the views expressed on their site, we'll be in SOLE nirvana. They are committed to transparently producing ethical and biodynamic food and they encourage visitors - I've asked to make a visit to write a review for progdins.

They are producing beef, lamb, pork, eggs and honey. They sell at the Canberra southside farmer's markets and you can order online.

I AM ALL EXCITEMENT!

Zoe, are you interested in taking anyone along (ie. me!) I would love to come... I have wanted to start doing 'farm tours' in this area, to really see where the local food I want to source, actually comes from! Totally understand if it is not possible... or you are not interested!

Not sure when it will be, dixiebelle, but sure. It'd have to be easier for the farmer to have a couple of us through at a time. I'll get in touch when it's getting underway.
