You know, I have never seen it anywhere for sale, or even thought about it as a meat! Perhaps there is a butcher selling Game in your area, or some butchers even sell online such specialty things!

Never seen it, ran.

If you do find some, let us know.. I'd be interested in giving it a go!

Gottie says that you can get emu sausages at the Vic Market. Don't know about other varieties of emu. The snags are pretty good, especially with mango chutney.

Ran, Try getting in touch with Yarra Valley Game Meats based in Healesville.
I like the Emu bangers but have only eaten them in restaurants.

if anyone is interested, i havnt tried it yet but found a butcher that sells it in bridge rd richmond, vic markets, and a wholesale butcher in kensington (who also does EVERY kind of game meat you could think of and do home delivery)

now i just got to get me some and try it!

i have now successfully used kangaroo as a substitute in stirfries, spag bog, shepherds pie, stews and even a traditional eggplant arabic dish. I prefer using low carbon emission meats and hubbie and i are pretty much only eating roo and sustainable fish at the moment.

Was horrified to see orange roughy sold at Prahran markets the other day
