Mountain Goat beer

One of my favourite brands when choosing a cleansing ale is Mountain Goat beer. Which comes in a variety of styles.

I keep the Hightail & Pale Ale in the fridge at home but there's also India Pale Ale and Surefoot Stout. I buy mine from Swords Select (another environmentally responsible grog merchant) and have been known to throw a few back in various Melbourne venues. Ed Charles and I drank one venue dry of their stock, but that's another story....

The Goat's an organic beer - free of additives and preservatives - handmade in Melbourne. Originally it was a backyard beer, but grew to have it's own premises, a microbrewery in Richmond, that you can hang out at on wednesday nights for a 6pm tour, beer and pizza at The Goat Bar. Or fridays from 5pm for beer, good white and red wine, locally distilled specialty single malt whiskies plus gin and vodka. Also have soft drinks..... and pizza.

Apart from loving the taste, the goat is 'green' which gives it the big thumbs up in my book.
They built their microbrewery with reclaimed materials.
They use rain water for drinking and flushing the lavs,m with the intention that eventually they will brew with rainwater too one day
They are Solar and Green Powered.
They use recycled paper and cycle to work.
They keep it local and fresh by distributing 90% to Victoria.

GO THE GOAT!!
