I grewed it, but I can't eat it!

Want to grow herbs on your apartment patio? Can't get your zucchini's to flower? Want to share your latest tip for harvesting Thai Basil? If you can grow it, here's the place to post about it! (With a sub-forum for recycling/water management tips)

My single pumpkin from last season.

It's so perfect and round and lush!!

I just can't bring myself to cut into it!!

I know I'll have to...eventually... but I am so proud of her, I'd rather just have her sitiing on the bench, making me feel all Muffer Earth-like, just for growing her..

Anyone else do this??

Overcome it??

Is it just that it's my very first baby?... and next year, I'll be hacking into them with gay abandon?

I wasn't like this with my first crop of figs, or lemons.. altho I did take pics of my very first peach...

There's just something about this punkin that makes me so proud!!

Or.. more probably, makes me weird!

I still do that stuff. I lay out all the really straight green beans on the counter, and I have a hard time snapping them. I photograph tomatoes, fondle onions and potatoes. I actually still have one pumpkin in the pantry from last year (eep), but it's still perfect and beautiful. But you are def. not alone!

It might have something to do with all that pumpkin sex that was involved in the creation process PG. ;)
