In case you haven't heard..

Postby purple goddess on Wed Aug 27, 2008 3:29 pm

I've been interviewed on SOLE in the suburbs, in this months issue of Notebook mag.

As soon as I get an online link I'll post it, but in the meantime, try to grab a copy. That's my ugly mug on page 182!

Here's what happened at work the other day:

So my boss, Elvis, tells me way back when I took time off to have the photo shoot

"Make sure you bring in a copy so I can see it"..

So I do..

and he's reading the article and says:

"It's an AWFUL photo of you!"

and I say:

"I don't care, more importantly, they took a photo of my FOOD!"

and he says:

"That food's HORRIBLE.. It's all BURNT!"

and I say:

"It's not bloody burnt, it's caramelised vegetables with balsamic glaze!"

and he says:

"I wouldn't eat it"

and I say:

"GOOD!"...

so he starts reading the article, and I mean reading it out loud...

"Ella Hall is a mother and Nurse... blah blah blah...

He gets to the end of the first paragraph, and gives a big sigh and mutters "oh dear" to himself..

so I say:

"You're really not interested in it are you, Charles?"

and he says:

"No I'm not.. not at all", and hands me back the magazine....

I was an Intensive Care RN there for a while, but last few years, in between having kids, had focussed more on Recovery, which I quite enjoy!

PG, I think your boss is off his tree. It is a lovely photo and you have a great smile and you're in purple too!

I thought the article was very interesting and has some good tips in ot that the average punter can follow. Well done!
