Quite a few of us are home with kids or work from home, right? So what did you have for lunch? I had some sourdough from The Flute bakery in Fyshwick (not as good as Silo) with olive oil and a tomato I bought this morning at Woolworths, where I was buying 3L homebrand milk ;)

I'm very ready for Spring ...

Well, I wasn't working at home today but I took Banh Cuon which aroused a fair bit of curiousity. I love Baked beans for lunch too

Moon cake!! Ah yes it's nearly time for Autumn festival and moon cake frenzy. I like the lotus seed ones best. But someone in Hong Kong has taken it literally look at this:

oh dear sticky.

I work from home and being surrounded by beautiful food all day lunch is usually an "experiment".

This week I made an experiment soup kinda like a minestrone but the stock was from boiling up lamb merguez, I used bacon, carrot celery tinned toms, parmy rind, and added capsicum, oregano, a little paprika and cayenne pepper and then half a baguette of sourdough bread crumbs. served with a dollop of sour cream.

here's the confessional part:
yesterday I ate it for breakfast

Naaaaasty, but it filled the hole.

Home made spinach and ricotta cannelloni made from scratch by my friend Michael's aunty Maria, using spinach and sugo from home grown vegies. Magnifico! I noticed a whole lot of low fat organic soups in my tiny local IGA last night and a slab of Jamon Serrano - amazing!

Lunch today was two panadeine fortes and a piece of toast with avocado and vegemite. Nearly better after ear operation!
