Furry's gout's playing up, we had 7 kids thru the doors over the weekend, a visit from a dog judge to check out Stella Bella Bottom Smeller, Mater Beige took a nasty fall and fractured both the radius and ulna of her left wrist, and we had junior footy presentations over in Cwazyburn.

**sigh**

Not much time left for resting OR cooking... so here's what I did last night.

Diced a red cap from AFD delivery, let it slow cook in a cast iron pan. Added 250g sliced 'shrooms ( the ones from the Farmer's Market 2 weeks ago.. they were a little wrinkled, but otherwise ok)

Add one can tuna in brine and 1/2 a container of sour cream. Heat and pour over bucatelli.

Voila! a scrummy dinner in under 1/2 an hour!

Sounds good... I would have opened a jar of Barilla Pesto Genovese!

Hope you are all doing OK now!

My favourite pasta topping, also a quick one, is a gremolata type thing...

Gremolata
This is a great, zesty way to jazz up BBQ meats, fish or salads too...

Here is a basic recipe:

Finely chopped preserved lemon rind
Finely chopped garlic
Chopped flat leaf parsley (or try some corainder/ basil too)
Chopped pistachio, walnut or pecans
Finely chopped capers (optional)
Olive oil
Lemon or lime juice

I'd go with Zoe's too, only I'd leave out the chilli... cos I've already seen Pluto and it's over-rated. Chilli = Ow!

I do Absorption Pasta a la Clotilde at Chocolate and Zucchini, but without the cocoa nibs and with pine nuts. Pasta is the best for a throw-together meal tho', so quick and easy.

This is also fantastic with a chorizo sausage instead of the bacon.

Actually another fav of mine is garlic, chilli, onion and chorizo but just cooked off in a little nice olive oil or some butter. Great for fresh pasta as it lets the pasta be the star.

Yum!
